I am starting this blog with an age old saying, "Clean up your house, clean up your LIFE!" or something like that. This has always been true for me. Messy house/car/closet, messy life! Since I've been sick the housework has been slacking so it's time to clean up! We just washed the puppy, she's clean, now it's time for me to do the same!
I plan to clean the house, and get some homework done! I'll start back on my workout routine tomorrow, forgiving myself for overeating while I was sick. I'm on Weight Watchers so today I need to count points and track what I eat, that is my goal everyday really. But as a said, today is a new day!

I'm Elle, also known as the Twenty-Six year old who is on a mission to be skinny!
I live in San Francisco with my fiance and my chocolate lab and yes by the title of this blog I am a Sex In the City fanatic!
Who am I?
I am someone who grew up really athletic! I played every sport imaginable in elementary and high school. Basketball, volleyball, swimming, a little track, martial arts, and for the last six years my new love is Bikram Yoga, the hot stuff. Two years ago I started running, that's a funny story! Since that time I've completed 2 half marathons.
So are you asking yourself why I'm not skinny yet??
Well, me too! Here's your answer...
I am a person who eats when she's stressed and tired. I know this about myself but this knowledge hasn't made much long-term difference.
I got my first real exhausting full-time job 2 years ago and that's when the weight piled on. All that time I previously had to swim and do yoga was GONE and instead I worked, got tired, and went home and slept. Oh yeah and add that I ingested many many calories before bedtime watching reruns of Sex In the City.
There was a time about a year and a half ago that I got it together temporarily and lost about 25-30 pounds but the stress came back and so did the weight.
I started this journey officially in August of 2009, seven months ago!
I was 183 pounds and I'm 5'8".
There have been many ups and downs, celebrations and disasters along the way!
Since then I have quit that job and returned to school to complete my undergrad degree, so I'm now a broke student, which comes with it's own rewards and challenges. Life is different, in essence better, much better!
I'm engaged to the love of my life and got to quit my draining stressful job. So maybe now it really is time to do this for me!
Why a blog?
Well as of this week I have RELAPSED, so I am in desperate need of some accountability! That's right I've been sick for a week, and TIRED so what did I do...I ate us out of house and home because I was tired! I sat on the couch with a bag of Whole Foods chocolate chip cookies and watched the greatest athletes in the world battle it out for gold, silver and bronze! All the while feeling sorry for myself that I never aspired to be good enough to make the Olympic team!
I know right....but this is how my feeble mind gets me off track, it betrays me all the time! But this time I'm thinking being accountable to strangers in the cyberworld will help, it can't hurt. I'm hoping that in blogging about this process, which is not easy, it will somehow help myself stay on track and help someone else.

Bodyfat weight: 52.8 pounds
Bodyfat %: 30.3
My goal weight is 135 pounds
I have 39.5 pounds to lose!
These are the facts...
So, here we go!
